5 Small But Helpful Habits That Everyone Should Try To Adopt
Create and Maintain Healthy Habits. They will help you feel better and make you more productive. Here's my list of habits/ changes you can try to make with me.
Habit #1
Go to sleep at a reasonable time and wake up early.
It could be difficult to maintain a good sleep schedule because nowadays people are so busy with work and school. Regardless, when you find the days when you can get the extra hours of sleep, go to sleep early and wake up early. For my Muslims, it can be hard to wake up for Fajr because the sun isn't even up, but it's definitely a good way to start your day with a clear mind and good intentions.
Habit #2
Limit your Screen Time.
Tech: Phones, Laptops, TVs, etc. With all the technology that we use in our everyday lives we tend to forget the negative impact they have on our brains. Excessive Screen Time has been linked with anxiety, insomnia, and mood swings. I'm not telling you to throw your phone away, but instead of using your phone the first 15-20 minutes of when you wake up and before you go to sleep, you can replace that with planning/ reflecting on your day.
Habit #3
Journal.
Journaling is something I personally have been doing on and off for about a year now. It's helpful for maintaining and attaining your goals as well as clearing your mind of any emotions or thoughts that may be bothering you. For people who want to start , but don't know what to write I recommend starting with lists of short term and long term goals you want to achieve. You can also try to list three things you are thankful for each day day and why.
Habit #3
Learn to refrain from speaking negatively. Positive Affirmations.
Gossiping, badmouthing ourselves and others... these are all things that have a terrible impact on our mental health overtime. Be kind to yourself and others. Compliment yourself genuinely and watch your self esteem change. Distance yourself from people who love talking about others and watch your relationship with others change.
Habit #4
Remove people from your life that do more harm than good.
The people you surround yourself with has a big impact on you. If you hang around toxic people who have no plans on improving their lives or their behavior, you'll find yourself feeling trapped. I am talking about people who lie, manipulate, hate seeing you succeed, and would rather compete with you than lift you up. If you do any of the things I listed...check yourself and change. Not only in real life, social media as well. Don't follow useless people who don't bring anything beneficial to you. Follow those who inspire you and you can learn from.
Habit #5
Don't wait till tomorrow for something that could be done today. Tomorrow is not promised. Learn to not procrastinate.
If you want to make a change or start working towards a goal you've had for a long time. I am telling you THE TIME IS NOW. Stop waiting!! You'll waste your life trying to find the perfect time when there is no time better than the present. If failure is the fear keeping you from trying, remember most people fail a couple times before they succeed or see any progress.

#1 তাড়াতাড়ি ঘুমাতে যান এবং তাড়াতাড়ি ঘুম থেকে উঠুন। জেগে উঠুন ফজরের নামাজ পড়তে।
#2 আপনার ফোনটি অতিরিক্ত ব্যবহার না করার চেষ্টা করুন
#3 একটি জার্নালে লিখুন।
#4 খারাপ মানুষকে আপনার জীবন থেকে সরান। আপনার জীবনে ভাল মানুষ রাখুন।
#5 যে কাজগুলি আজ করা যেতে পারে তা করতে দেরি করবেন না। আজই আপনার লক্ষ্য নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করুন।
